Gender-neutral uniforms in schools have been introduced; meaning boys are now able to wear a skirt as a replacement of trousers.

This new law has meant eighty state schools are now allowing this to happen, which has occurred due to the government funding the new “gender-neutral” uniform policies.

However, the Bible says: Deuteronomy 22:5 “A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.”

Policies about uniform have either been rewritten completely or schools are becoming more open-minded with references and gender identities of girls and boys in regards to their dress codes.

It has also been announced that children, as young as five years old, are now being given the chance to pick what they like to wear for school. This freedom, however, is tarnishing children’s minds in the way that too much freedom can be dangerous.

Children like law and rules, it makes them feel and know you care about them. It gives them structure, guidance and reassurance, taking this away and giving them an open choice to dress will also show up the inequality in commodities, differences that exist between what parents can and cannot afford. In turn, this may cause serious problems (including bullying) for their children.

Even Christian organisations have raised their concerns saying that introducing this freedom of choice can confuse children at such a young age, decreasing their confidence in themselves.

This government initiative has been focused and funded on aiding children to have the freedom to figure out their gender identity.

1 Corinthians 6:9 in the Bible explains this shift…“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality.”

However this move has sparked diversity campaigners to warn schools that current policies risk discriminating against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students (LGBT).

Allen’s Croft School in Birmingham is believed to be the first state primary to declare that it has a “gender neutral” uniform. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 says: “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”
