Gospel singer Kim Burrell is getting the cold shoulder from pro-gay individuals and the media after making comments in church about homosexuality.

Burrell says she is not apologizing for her sermon at a Houston church where she referred to gay and lesbian sex as perverted.

A recording of Burrell preaching at the Love and Liberty Fellowship Church started circulating online after she said, “The perverted homosexual spirit, and the spirit of delusion and confusion, it has deceived many men and women.”

Burrell is scheduled to sing with pop singer Pharrell Williams next Thursday on the talk show Ellen, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, who is a lesbian.

Pharrell posted on Instagram after her comments that he condemns “hate speech of any kind” without making a specific reference to Burrell. “But this is not a hate speech, this is the truth and the gospel of love, come to Jesus all you that are confused only Jesus is the one that can deliver you from your confusing spirit”.

MS BURRELLBurrell responded to the backlash during a Facebook Live on Friday, saying she has never discriminated against gays and lesbians. We believe she love them that is why she spoke the truth so if you are LGBT come to Jesus and He will save you, because He love you, don’t leave it till late because death is at the corner and after death there is no more salvation and repentance, this is your chance, Jesus is coming soon. Remember Lot’s wife – See Genesis 19:26. “She” looked back – she delayed – perhaps she “desired” to take something with her, and God made her a monument of his displeasure. Jesus directed his disciples, when they saw the calamities coming upon the Jews, to flee to the mountains, Matthew 24:16. He here charges them to be in haste – not to look back – not to delay – but to escape quickly, and to remember that by delaying the wife of Lot lost her life.

“I love you and God loves you, but God hates the sin,” she said.
