Saturday, February 13, 2016, United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was found dead at a luxury hunting ranch in his bedroom. He had served on the Supreme Court for nearly 30 years after being nominated by former President Ronald Reagan as an Associate Justice.

Immediately after the death of Justice Scalia a local judge declared his death to be of natural causes. Since that time, the circumstances surrounding his death have resulted in more questions than answers.

The owner of the property, John B. Poindexter knocked on his door at 8:30 a.m. and then again 3 hours later where he found the Justice dead.

Justice Scalia was found with a pillow on his face and had reportedly declined having his usual bodyguards. Law enforcement reported that there was nothing unusual about the Justice’s room and his covers were not ruffled, which seemed that there was no evidence of foul play.

Despite the lack of a visible evidence concerning foul play, other than the obvious pillow being on the Justice’s head, the family reportedly declined to have an autopsy. However, due to the status of this political figure, there would seem to be a mandate that an autopsy be done to erase all suspicion concerning possible foul play.

Various theories are coming to light as to why someone would want to harm Justice Scalia should foul play be found to be a reason for concern. The United States Supreme Court has lost if not the most, but one of it’s most conservative justices on the bench. This leaves the opportunity for President Barrack Obama to nominate a more “liberal” justice in office to sway the court to the far left. More may come out in the days to come concerning the circumstances surrounding the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.

The Bible lets us know that whatever is done in the dark will be brought to the light. Luke 8:17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. (NIV) Therefore, this scripture lets us know that we serve an all-seeing and all-knowing God. There is nothing that can be covered up that He doesn’t see. If there was something that was done wrong in this case, the Lord will allow it to be exposed in due time. Men can plot evil, but the Lord uncovers them all. Micah 2:1 Woe to those who plan iniquity, to those who plot evil on their beds! At morning’s light they carry it out because it is in their power to do it. (NIV)
